What if a writer is attempting to create a story where nothing much happends? Where people don't change, they don't have any epiphanies. They struggle and are frustrated, and nothing is resolved.
The Kaufman's adaptation is threefold. An adaptation of the book into the screenplay, obviously. An adaption in all living organisms that connect each human being. But most importantly, the second part of the movie is an adaptation of the first, an adaptation in principles.
